Looks like you're off to a great start so far! I like how you were able to include tidbits of their relationship and bring us up to speed on everything by actually showing us the events rather than just telling us.

The characterization was excellent as well. It was interesting to see Albus as the confident player type, since he's usually the quiet sensitive one while James is the player.

June seems like a relatable and believable OC, I like how messed up their relationship is.

Did the word funk suddenly become say-able again and nobody bothered to tell me? One of the funniest lines in this chapter, I feel bad for Al, him and Blair are so alike (stubborn).

Albus and June are so adorable together! He made me laugh in the shopping scene :D and quaffleboobs can just fall in to a deep hole with her stupid stilettos and non-fat potato snacks, and never come out! MWAHAHAHA *chokes*

Anyway, great chapter once again, I'm looking forward to the rest of the weekend. And I'm sorry for not reviewing the last chapter - I had one of those lazy days :P But that one was great too :)

I just read all the chapters in one go and I really enjoyed it! I'm so glad they finally worked things out, and that he resolved things with James. I can't wait to see what other little plots you introduce. :)

Something I would say though is that you write a lot of dialogue so maybe try to balance things out a bit with a little more description? It could be just to elaborate a bit more on the character's inner thoughts or their surroundings but it's just a thought, you're writing's great anyway. :D

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad you're liking it :) And I agree with you on my over load of dialogue. I always really struggle with descriptions. I don't know why, but I get a sort of mental block when I try to use a lot of description, like when I type it out it sounds weird, and I usually end up deleting it. But I'm going to try harder at being more descriptive. Once I have a few more chapters up, I'm going to take a break and go back and do major editing, hopefully then I can add some more description to earlier chapters.

Author's Response: Thanks! It can be very confusing when the first chapter has an information overload and tries to introduce everything at once (I've been guilty of that in the past, haha) so I tried to keep it at the minimum. Info overload is never fun!

bummer, i got logged out...
anyway, what a heartfelt chapter. I felt like the part with Albus was good. The only thing is that I feel that when he was explaining why James was mad at him it felt a little rushed, maybe that's just me. On another note, the intro with James, Stella, and Rose made me chuckle. Especially: "James, from his position on the couch, lets out a loud laugh. 'Oh, you’re so right, June. It would be much healthier if she went and found Scorpius’ brother and gave him a snog to get the revenge out of her system.'" Very funny. Congrats on the one year!

I sort of felt that way when I was writing it, but after all those long winded stories I didn't know how to explain the James part and at the same time avoid another long monologue. I'll go back and tweak it and see if I can make it a little less rushed though when I get the chance to edit this chapter.
