I'm scolding myself right now for not having reviewed before. I found this story awhile ago and forgot about HPFF a little over a year ago. I just came back and reread your story and caught up on the chapters I hadn't read yet :) I loved how much of Claudia and Oliver we got to see over their holiday!

“The transition is so incredibly random,” mum continued as though my father hadn’t spoken. “From professor to businessman...I guess he got tired of making small money and wanted to move up int he [IN THE] world, eh?"


“I’ve been well,” Claudia said stiffly, her back straight, her legs crossed and her held her teacup firmly in her right hand." -- the last bit doesn't quite make sense.

Really good chapter! The banter between Claudia and her ex-boy-toy was really interesting to read and I'm guessing the baby is Oliver's baby brother or nephew or something... but I'll have to read on to find out! :)

Love this story, Charlotte has really grown on me and I love her progression and growth as a character. I really like Alex, she makes me laugh!! And Claudia is such an intriguing character, as is the mystery about her family.
I'm glad that things with Drew are over, initially I liked him, but he gave me the creeps a little the more that I saw of him. He's just so cold and calculating.
Oh, and I love that Oliver was the one to find Charlotte! Perfect timing!!
Look forward to more. :)

I think Claudia has always been my favorite. There's just something about her, you know! And Drew...he's actually based on a boy I used to kind-of date. It's a long story! But yeah. The reaction you're having to him is the reaction my friends had! Like, but he was nice...and then...creepy...and not nice anymore. :z

So I was supposed to do my homework. Like a good girl.
But ended up reading all twenty four chapters of this. I didn't even want to review because I was too hooked in reading it.
To be completely honest, I wasn't sure I'd like this fic. I'm very picky with my Oliver/OC fics..and normaly never read them because i get irritated easily.
BUT THIS WAS AMAZING.
Claudia is one of my favorite characters. I must say that I love her with every fibre of my being so far.
Oliver, obviously, is just KJKLWJERJWRLE ♥
gotta love him ;)
I really like Charlotte too. Although, this whole fic I've been mentally yelling at her for going through with the job her mom wants her to do.
she should break free. AND GO TO A QUIDDITCH GAME.
I can't wait for an update :)

Author's Response: Heee. I'm always supposed to be doing homework or writing papers and I always get sucked into writing. It's very inconvenient because whenever I HAVE time to write, I'm too lazy to write or life gets distracting. :(

But I know what you mean about being picky with Oliver/OCs. I just got really sick of reading mainly Quidditch-centric fics. :P I wanted to try something new so...I wrote this. Or, I should say -- still writing it. :)

Drew is horrible and I hate him and I want to push him off a cliff but I love how you made charlotte such a smart cookie and I love Oliver! so this is my second time reading this (and it is just as awesome the second time) and I just thought I'd let you know how lovely and great and funny your story is :) I really like it! I also thought I'd say that I giggled at your apology in your A/N for your American spelling and I laughed at every wee mistake (sorry, I know it's proper grammar/spelling where you are but here, it's a mistake) from then on when usually I get annoyed, grammar freak that I am :) so I love Oliver the most and I liked the plot because it was a wee bit different so thanks a lovely read and sorry for the rant

I smiled and nodded and pretended like it made sense to me.] - Haha very cute :) I definitely laughed at this part. I can totally picture her thinking all of these things while Ollie drolled on.

I think it's nice you're following the story line from P.O.A. :) I really loved that book and it should definitely spice things up even more!

Author's Response: Hehe. Charlotte's such an interesting character. It took me awhile to really like her because on the surface, at least to me, we didn't seem really like the same person. But as I got more and more into writing this story & her, I realized that we are the same. :P

I love POA! That's one of my favorites, along with GOF. I'm thinking because I accidentally started GOF before all the other books because I derp'd and didn't know they were all the same series...so GOF has a special place in my heart. :)

Author's Response: :D Yeah. She was so transfixed by that question because frankly, no one really ever asks her what she wants. Professors assign homework. Her mother tells her to do this. Her friends ask for help. No one ever asks if she wants to do this or do that or behave this way. It's quite new to all-of-a-sudden be forced to answer something you've never really thought of, you know? XD Sort of a long response but yeah. :)

She's confused but I hope that she comes off as learning a bit more about herself, later on, though :D

I dislike the fact that you think this is a sucky chapter! I enjoyed it immensely! I totally understand writer's block, and I've come to figure out that when you push through that block, you may see the chapter as less than perfect (because of all the struggling you did to get through it), but others see it as some of your best work :)

Haha! I very much enjoyed the part about Alex throwing her fork across the Great Hall at the Hufflepuff table! Very amusing!
Oh, and I caught just a very minor slip-up: "I leaned back, dangling me [MY] feet just over the dirt." No big deal :)
Ohhh man. If I had agreed to tutor someone and they came waltzing in fifty minutes late I would be -beyond livid-!

Personally, I'm pretty patient when it comes to tutoring but when someone is RIDICULOUSLY late, I just end up leaving and going to complain to my friends/everyone about how lame that person is. Even if they're not really known to me. But then again, I love complaining. I think Charlotte was definitely entitled to being angry about him being late because that's just rude & not taking into consideration other people's time! :P
