*blinks* Have I misread something? I'm a little shocked... you killed off Sirius so early! Just... wow. I really wasn't expecting that. Now Remus is all by his lonesome. How's that going to work out? I'm baffled. Great chapter. I'd offer to give you some help with plot and stuff, but I'm pretty busy lately so I'm afraid I can't. And then the doubt came back again. I can't believe Ron's outburst at Molly. I understand that he's upset over his best friend though, so I forgive him for that. But oh, when Remus and Sirius were talking about the Marauders and how invincible they were when they were younger...it makes me so sad. They had a remarkable friendship and things just fell apart. It's nice to see Remus and Sirius rekindling that friendship again, even if it can never be the same, it's still strong. I really do love this story (I'm blatantly ignoring the grammatical errors..) Never alone. When I first began reading the chapter, doubt began to grow as to whether or not they would really try and retrieve Harry's soul. It seems impossible and they know it. But, oh, Remus' determination and Sirius' loyalty shines through the darkness. The last line still gives me hope.

Oh man, oh man, oh man! That was completely unexpected! The end quote...that's in the summary, right? I didn't know who they were talking about! But now I do and are they really going to get his soul back? Is that even possible? I didn't even think that when they sucked a soul, the Dementor bit down on the person's mouth, but it adds to the pain that Harry feels as his soul is taken away from him. That fate is worse than death itself and the fact that you had it happen to Harry! I'm glad that Sirius is alive in this (I'm not in denial, but I really was upset when he died). Great start.

As always, a very nice chapter. I particularly liked the "they saw not men, but marauders" paragraph. It was nicely done. Although, you're missing a tag somewhere at the top as the whole thing is currently bolded. ^~ Not that it takes away from the fic, but I don't suppse you meant it to be that way.
