Can't wait to read the next chapter. The first 2 were very touching. The dream or what ever he had about James and Harry made me cry. :) U r doing a great job.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am so glad you found the chapters touching and sad. I'll try and put up the next chapter as soon as I can, just starting Christmas exams at the end of the week so it may have to wait until they are over, but I'll do all in my power to have the next chapter up as soon as possible. Thanks so much for the review, I'm so glad you liked it! :)

really great work ^_^
sorry for late review , i was busy in some other work .

u are one of the best who writes about remus now i can say this ^_^.

all ur story revolve around him but always with fresh idea. i love it .
this one is also really interesting . poor remus always alone. u have portrayed his grief for his friendz amazingly .

one thing occurred to me ( i don't know u keep this in mind while writing or it just a coincidence ) that he never became very angry on sirius . he is also missing him that's called true friendship . i love his character.

i never understood why j k rowling kept peter in gryffindor .he was one of the greatest coward in the book
was it only to move the story or there any justification behind it that she has given!

eagerly waiting for next chapter
10/10

Author's Response: Hi there! Thanks so much for the review, sorry this story was such a long time coming though, I was just really busy!!

Yeah, all my stories are about Lupin, mostly because he is my favourite character, and also because I feel that the films really pushed him into the background and failed to show him as the great main character that he is! They practically just cut him out of Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows Part 2!!! It really annoyed me! So that's why I write about him, so people won't forget what a great character he is!

Yes, I purposely didn't show Lupin angry at Sirius. I didn't show him raging at Sirius because JKR said that one of Lupin's flaws is that he likes to be liked, and, as such, he cuts people a lot of slack! Obviously though, he was very angry with what Sirius did, I imagine that he wanted to rip Sirius limb from limb initially, but that anger has abated with time. I figured that friendship means a lot to him, so it's not so much that he is angry about what Sirius did anymore (because what's done is done, he can't change it), but it's more that he misses who Sirius used to be, that great friend, and is lamenting what he turned into, a betraying murderer, if that makes sense. But obviously he does blame him for the Potters' deaths. I also wanted to show an element of disbelief about it too, because Sirius, afterall, was innoccent, and it is almost as if there is something at the back of Lupin's mind that tells him this, and he wants to believe it, but all the evidence points to the other conclusion, if that makes any sense!

I never understood why Pettigrew was in Gryffindor either. JKR never said (at least to my knowledge). I guess it proves what Dumbledore said "We sort too soon". Either that or it is one of those "It is our choices that determine who we are, fair more than our abilities" sort of things, where maybe Pettigrew had all those Gryffindor abilities when he was 11: bravery, loyalty etc. but CHOSE not to embrace them, and instead chose to embrace cowardice and betrayal. At some point in his life he definitely chose to turn his back on friendship and bravery. But hey, I don't know for sure, I'm only guessing here! It could be as simple as it was just easiest to have him in Gryffindor because that's where all the others were!

Thanks again for the review, much appreciated! I am glad you like it! The next chapter should be up fairly soon (I hope), it's been in the queue for a while now so hopefully they will validate it soon!

Honestly, when I saw your bannerless story amongst the others, I wasn't planning on clicking. Shallow, I know. But I had just been reading the Half-blood Prince and recognized the quote. Plus, something that was not me was nudging me to read. I didn't want to read, because some writers simply murder this sort of plot.

But you are an exception.

I had never really considered the emotions of Lupin after James and Lily's slaughter, but you articulated it all beautifully. Just beautifully. I found my eyes watering at some moments.

I am ecstatic to read your upcoming chapters. You have true talent. I hope you can add a gorgeous banner so even more people will be compelled to click on this story and enjoy your lovely writing. Amazing work. :)

Author's Response: Oh wow! Thanks!!!

I know what you mean about the banner, but don't worry, now have a really cool banner! It just took a little longer than expected, because it was thanksgiving in the States and the artist who agreed to do it was obviously very busy with that holiday. I forgot it was thanksgiving (not being American myself) when I asked for the banner so that's why it took a little longer than usual. But I know what you mean, a banner can make all the difference to a story, it really makes it stand out or eye catching, a picture says a thousand words as they say! I will admit though that I was very worried, because this story has only been read 30 times, and my other stories get miles more reads, so I was afraid that what I had written here was rubbish, but now that I have read your review, that worry has been quelled somewhat, so thank you! It has a banner now so hopefully others will read it (and review it) now as well!

I am so glad you think I articulated Lupin's emotions well! He is my favourite character so I strive to do him justice! I know what you mean about writers murdering characters or plots, I've cringed as I have read such stories myself. I'm such a massive fan that I must get the characters right or else I have FAILED, but not only failed, I have destroyed all the magic JKR has created. Harry Potter is my favourite thing in the world, and as such I do all in my power not to murder the wonderful characters and world that JKR has written! So I am SO HAPPY you think I haven't murdered anything!! The idea for this just came to me really, just randomally, and as I was writing, I remembered that quote from HBP and just knew it was the perfect title! I have been writing this for a long while now (whenever I found a spare hour or two when all my work for college was done!) and I am just so glad you like it!

The next chapter should be up in very soon, it's been in the queue 3 days and they say that's how long the queue is! So hopefully it will be up later today or early tomorrow! I do hope you like it, I think it's actually better than this first one, but then again it could be rubbish!! I don't know!!! ;)

Thank you so much again for the review (and for being my first reviewer for this story!!!), I really appreciate it! You really make me smile ;) Keep en eye out for chapter two, I hope you like it now!
