Wow, this is really good. The detail is really good, I can get an image in my mind based on the way you write. I laughed when Beth dropped Ron, that was so funny! The guy in the beginning of this chapter (whose name escapes me at the moment), he's going to propose to Beth isn't he? There is definitely more to Beth though... Oh, and you wrote "Why can't you just except that?" You used the wrong version of except, you want "accept." Just thought I would point it out. Great job, I can't wait for more!

I will say that Beth is a great help in the chapters to come, for both Ron and Hermione... you'll see =].. though I expect that it will be odd to trust her even after those chapters, considering how unpredictable she is.. heh =D..

I liked this chapter, but there is something that I can't imagine happening... I can't think of Hermione immediately thinking that she was going to die when someone threw a hex at her. Plus, maybe it's me and my memory failure, but I don't remember when Malfoy told her that she was a witch. I just remember when he told her that she had a wand, but did she believe in magic then? Or did she remember that magic existed?
Sorry about the questions, but I'm kind of lost, hehe.

Author's Response: Well, at that particular moment she was thinking of the worst that could happen to her.. which was death. And you have to remember that Hermione has lost her memory, I know how she did, but I haven't explained that yet.. you'll see with later chapters..

No, Malfoy didn't tell her that she was a witch, but he did tell her that she had a wand.. And considering her memory loss she didn't believe in magic nor did she remember that it existed.. so she was (and still is) very skeptical on the concept of magic..
It's okay, I don't mind the questions.. It actually helps me to remember that I have to explain this better in the later chapters, =D.

Ha, that was mean of Beth to just let Ron fall on the floor! Especially after she yelled at him for not trusting her. and then the whole using Leglimency on someone she just met, against their will was kinda rude also. Well nevermind, good story, keep it up (ie update soon)

So I noticed in the part where Ron is speaking with Beth that you change your tense, as in you go into the present tense starting with...

"Can I show you something?" She asks, remembering she has a key to Hermione's room, "Something of Hermione's?"

and ending with...

"Oh - I'm sorry, Ron. I thought that - that you knew. I'm sorry." She says quickly, the words tumbling from her shocked lips.

It just doesn't sound right when reading it so that's why I wanted to point it out. But I am really enjoying your story and am so glad that you finally got a chance to update.

He's gotten so much closer to finding her. Hopefully it's Ron who came to rescue her out of curiosity of what was going on outside. And I highly approve of the American measurement system, being an American and all.
