Review:Whimsical Diva says:
Ahhh. Why do I think everything from here is going to go completely wrong? Maybe because everything till now went right? And if Thane and his thugs are abreast of the gang's plan, wonder what that lot are doing at the moment? I kind go feel the gang are going about the whole thing on a wing and prayer - hope it works out.

I loved how you interspersed plot and exposition - felt quite cinematic. Have you considered turning this into an original fiction? This is so good it can clearly stand on its own two feet.

Please update.

Author's Response: Thus far the plan has gone fine. Which is, normally, the stage at which everything goes horribly wrong. Their plan is reasonably solid for what it is, though heavily reliant upon the Invisibility Cloak (then again, that was enough for the Golden Trio to stage a break-in on Gringotts). Thane has his plans, we'll see how all of that goes.

A key problem with turning something of this ilk into original fiction is that it needs the background world to be in place. Starfall works because of the magical world which has lived in its own community alongside and sometimes behind the real world. While the Phlegethon/Eridanos viruses and the Chalice and its history are all original, the nature of magic as used by the protagonists and the building blocks are all very JK.

That and, if this were original fiction, I couldn't get away with a name as brilliantly awful as Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy.
