It was great to see them graduating. I wonder how they will deal with the real world.

But one thing from this chapter that really confused me is how everyone seems to blame Scorpius for playing both Dom and Rose. How exactly did Scorpius play Dom? She asked him if he wanted to have no-strings sex and then they both decided they liked it and kept doing it. If she had been unaware that he was dating Rose, then he would have been playing her. But she knew the whole time that he had a girlfriend and wasn't in love with her. It doesn't seem like he ever pretended to love her or that he was going to leave Rose for her, so just because she is so emotionally unstable as to cling onto the first guy who treats her with some kindness doesn't mean he played her. She is just as much at fault as he is. Her falling in love with him doesn't excuse her actions at all, as she still could have waited for him to break up with Rose before sleeping with him if she was deluding herself that their relationship was in any way real. And considering that she initiated the whole thing before she had feelings for him makes her whole narrative even more unconvincing. In some ways, she could be seen as taking advantage of scorpius' vulnerability and nervousness about sex by coming onto him.
Maybe if she had been some random girl with no relationship to Rose, then he would have been more at fault for betraying Rose. But considering she was Rose's friend and cousin, her actions were just as terrible and betraying as his.

So while I pity Dom for her obvious emotional issues and think that Scorpius is a total jerk, I find it really annoying and ridiculous that she (and everyone else) are acting like she is a victim of Scorpius' evil manipulations and that what he did to her is at all comparable to what he did to Rose.

While I hope she can move on and become a better person, I don't think that will be happening until she takes responsibility for her selfish and destructive actions and admits her real fault in this entire thing. Can't wait to see everyone's reactions to the truth.

Author's Response: Hello,

They've left Hogwarts at last, it will be won't it especially now things are all happening.

That's probably my fault for not making it clear but it does become more clear in the spin off about Dom that I have in the works. Basically whilst they were drunk they kissed and because Flick was not around for Scorp to talk about his problems with Rose, he turned to Dom instead. He's worried that when he and Rose do consummate their relationship that he won't be good enough and Dom offers to sleep with him. Scorpius turns her down but a few weeks later he is then the one to ask her (whilst sober) if the offer still stands because he and Rose set a date to consummate their relationship. He then continues to sleep with Dom even after he and Rose have sex for the first time because he preferred it and Rose didn't have that much fun being her first time, she was too nervous to try again. I hope that's made in clearer?

There are times that Dom believes he loves her and he says it as well but that's because he was drunk/heat of the moment. They are both at fault, Dom for suggesting it the first time and the for agreeing when he asks if the offer still stands. Dom knows she did wrong and she really want to put it right somehow but she doesn't know how.

I hope that Dom can too, I have a rough idea of what her future will bring. Thanks again for reading, and reviewing!! You're a star :)
