Hi! I'm here for the review tag.

I love the tone of this opening chapter. It's haunting, just as it should be. It's definitely unrealistic to portray everyone after the war as if nothing happened. Harry's pain definitely comes across. His nightmares are horrific but I could really see him having dreams like that. He was always one to blame himself for the bad things that happened to people he cared about even if it wasn't his fault at all. I am sure that he'd feel a lot of guilt about Teddy losing his parents (especially as he knows how that feels). An excellent portrayal of his character here.

Hermione too is really believable. She's not giving up on Harry no matter how hard her own life is. This actually really reminded me of the scene from Deathly Hallows where she informs Harry that she's sticking with him and she'd already wiped her parents' memories and sent them to Australia. There's definitely a parallel here - she seems to have had some bad news about her parents that we don't know about yet and she's deeply upset, but she's still reaching out to Harry to make sure he's still there. It was really touching.

A good first chapter, well done :)
