Hi again, round for the last chapter!
I really liked this as it was fun re-exploring Hogwarts through Jeremyís eyes. Iím not really sure what I make of him so far but I like that weíre slowly learning more and more about his backstory so I can piece him together as a person and Iím able to understand him more. He, Ginny and Hermione actually all worked really well together which was a little surprising given that I thought Jeremy might add friction to the group.
Neville and Luna were so cute, and I really adore the ship so itís nice to see itís included here. I really hope that those two work out and that Neville isnít left broken-hearted even if it does go against canon. :P
Ron and George were great together. :P Even though Ron isnít obviously Fred, itís nice to see that they have their own dynamic coming through now and it really makes my heart warm to see that bit by bit George is slowly moving on and no longing towards the past. Aw, then there was nervous Ron too with George teasing him and even if I felt a little mean, I couldnít help but laugh as it was all so adorable.
Ah, I never expected that ending as it was so shocking! Ok, I didnít think Ronís proposal was the best idea given that it was just after the war and more of a fear of dying which powered it on, but I never thought that Hermione would say no. I completely understand her reasons though, and I really do hope that she finds herself and Harry so everything can be alright again.
A great chapter and I hope thereís more coming soon!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for all the reviews!! Many many thanks!!
Honestly, I'm not sure what I think of Jeremy yet, either. His story is extremely detailed (I'm considering a spin-off short story or Novella once I'm finished with this), and he's really one of those characters that writes themselves. I had no idea he was with Lavender until I wrote it, and I had no idea how he felt about it.
I am a believer that Neville and Luna can be together and not violate canon at all. In my headcanon, no, they don't "end up" together. But that doesn't mean they weren't ever together, and weren't important parts of each other's lives. Yeah, they marry other people, but that doesn't mean their relationship never existed.
I love writing Ron and George. They've both lost their best friends (although in different ways), and while in some ways they're just replacing each other, I really think that their friendship is true. I mentioned in another chapter that Ron spent a lot of time with the twins whenever he was fighting with Harry, and I think that even though the twins made fun of him, they really were close. Really, I love writing all the Weasley brothers. They're fantastic.
The ending! I'm glad you liked it! Again, I've gotten mixed reviews, but I think you really understood where both of them were coming from. I agree that Ron maybe should've listened to his brothers, but he meant well, but it's Ron so his best isn't always correct. Wow. Sorry. Rant.
There's more coming... soonish. I really want to get through all the editing before I post the next chapter (which is done and being beta'd). I really like the next chapter, though. It has what I'd call a moment very significant to Hermione and Ron's journey. :)
Thank you, again and again, for leaving me these fantastic reviews. You're amazing!!
