Hi Kiana! I am terribly terribly sorry it has taken me so to do this, especially after I said I would do it yesterday! So so so so so so so sorry!
Onto the story (did i mention i was sorry?)
Woah.1922. Did NOT see that one coming!
Like, at all. So that was a fantastic twist, you worked it in very well, with the use of finding Tutankhamun's tomb from the new OC, and then Rose realizing that year in which that was found. You introduced it really well.
I also can't wait to find out where the others ended up, or when, if they have time traveled as well.
Also, I think the introduction of the new OC's was done right as well. You introduced them a bit, but you still kept the attention on Rose ad Lorcan, as they were the characters we knew, and we would find it easier to come to terms with the situation if was mostly focused on characters that we new. SO those little pockets of information that you places in was just right for us to learn about the OC's briefly, as I am sure we will learn more as the story goes on.
In regards to what you asked me to specify on, I think Rose's surprise and concern was well done. I would've been screaming in shock in that situation! I think that you balanced it well, because her sustained injuries sound like they are bad in places, and it was good to spend some time on those, as it added suspense to what had happened and where she is. And then the shock of the news worked to balance that it. I can understand her guilt for bringing Lorcan into this, as it was primarily her trying to prove herself and now this has happened. Poor Rose.
I really liked this chapter, that twist really got me, but it was sooo good, loved the twist. can't wait to see what happens next!
Hope this long review takes up the lateness, I'm sorry!
Author's Response: Hey Grace! Seriously, don't worry about how long it takes you, I understand fully!
Yay, I'm so glad that you liked the twist, as I know some people are sceptics when it comes to time travel!
I'm so glad that you liked the introductions of the OCs because I worked hard them. It was also great that you thought the balance on them and on Rose and Lorcan was kept up because it's always one which you have to toe carefully. You will most definitely learn more about them throughout the story and I hope you do enjoy it!
Phew! Hahaha, I would probably would end up screaming, but I suppose could be argued that it's more dramatic. Her injuries continue onto the next chapter, as will her guilt for Lorcan. I suppose the guilt thing will never really fade as it's so powerful and you can't take back that action. ANYHOW!
Thanks for this superb review, Grace, it was worth the wait! I will be definitely re-requesting if that's ok with you!
