I looove that she calls Ginny Mrs. P. I mean, it's not like Potter is a hard name to say or remember but it really shows more of her fun/casual personality. ...I serve guests two minute noodles... :P That is a great way to remind the reader of their solo parent situation.

So, wait, why did she recognize Regulus? And it's hilarious that she took the time to note his cuteness. I kind of love cocky Regulus. He sounds quite dashing and interesting (a bit like James). It's too bad he and Sirius weren't closer. I bet they'd make a wicked duo. It is sad to think of Regulus just floating through Grimmauld Place or wherever else unable to effect the world around him.

I love the twist of "you need me." It was absolutely the last thing I thought Regulus would say.

aaah, I do like her "they wouldn't understand" statement.

I got a huge laugh with Regulus saying ttyl. I can imagine he had a lot of time to float around and see some pop culture.

Ginny walking in on Ellie's conversation is hilarious. Mainly just the awkwardness - I love awkwardness. When Ellie thought she was getting a straight jacket I got a pretty good laugh. Poor Ellie's panic at getting a present was very well done. I really liked the moment between Ginny and Ellie. It showed how close the Potters are to Ellie's family and demonstrated their close relationship.

Awesome ending line.

This chapter was excellent. Regulus' warnings about Ellie's time ahead, his urging for her to tell Chris, and Ginny's gift for her birthday were all wonderful. Of course now I'm dying to know what lies ahead (so well done).

Author's Response: Haha, no! Potter isn't a difficult name at all, but she feels awkward calling her "Ginny" and I thought "Mrs Potter" sounded a little too old-fashioned for Ginny's tastes. And I'd be completely happy if someone gave me two-minute noodles! I love them so much!

She recognises Regulus in the way war heroes are recognised. I sort of assumed that Harry spread the word about Regulus in the same way that he did about Snape, in the hopes of lifting some of the stigma on his name. And in my head, Regulus is very good-looking, so she couldn't help but notice. I deliberately made Regulus more like Sirius, because I wanted them to have that connection to each other. They were brothers, so I think there are some aspects in which they would have been very similar.

And the twist is important! *wink wink*

Ellie is so awkward in that scene, it makes me cringe, but I had a lot of fun writing it!

Thank you so much for popping by!
