Well... I'm addicted.

I was planning to review the first chapter and then totally forgot I was here to review, I'd finished the second before I remembered.

This is a really, really interesting story idea. I haven't read anything like it. The premise is exceptional: intriguing and mysterious without being convoluted. You had time jumps and changes of perspective which can often make stories clumsy and confusing, but you handled them seamlessly.

The characters have strong, consistent and original voices. I notice other people have drawn the parallel between your Albus and Tom Riddle. I thought that as well and I think it's a really interesting dimension to the piece.

I love the humour in your piece as well, Scorpius at the Yule Ball and the house elves crack me up. It really lifts the piece. The whole story so far has been very, very readable, which is such a difficult thing to achieve.

I'm looking on with interest at the way you're depicting Harry Potter. Of course his is the voice we are most familiar with and I'm not sure the Harry Potter from the original books came through in your depiction of him. I'm not saying this is a bad thing at all. Years have passed and of course people change. Clearly something funny is going on behind closed doors. It makes me want to read on to find out what's really going on. So I'm not saying it's a bad thing at all, it was just something that struck me so I thought I'd mention it.

I'm a genuinely excited by this story and I've added it to my reading list so I can follow it. I'm taking notes for my own writing.

Author's Response: I'm so sorry it took me this long to respond. Life has just been really busy lately.

YOU READ TO THE SECOND CHAPTER :)

I was worried about it being confusing. I'm glad that's not the case. Yes, Albus shares many qualities with Riddle (most notably the dark magic) and it's very ironic seeing that his dad's Harry Potter.

Harry Potter is going to be a very large part of this story and yes he's portrayed differently. Things happened after the war...I don't want to give anything away ;)

I'm glad that you're interested by the story and I do hope that you keep reading! Thanks for reviewing!
