Hey Amanda!

I never really anticipated Ginny to be so introspective but I think it worked really well. You added a lot of depth to a character who usually appears as shallow one in my head, and I liked that fact. For one, it gave a refreshing characterisation and two it made her more likeable which I never thought would happen. You continued to defy my thoughts about Ginny so I canít wait to read on and find out more.

The way you interspersed the darker moments of her life into the lighter, more mundane ones was really effective. I know blabbered away about it my last review but I canít stop myself doing it again here! It just made me realise how the horrors of things like that never stop haunting you, and that sort of thing is often severely lacking in post-Hogwarts stories so you did a great job emphasising on it here.

You wove in canon details perfectly here with the mentions of Luna and Ron getting a Muggle sports car. It just added so much to it and left me chuckling away.

The picture you painted of the Weasley family, especially of Ron and Hermione, was rather tragic and had me at times. It was just so strange to see this people who are still young and energetic in my mind so worn and frail but it was executed perfectly. The transition of their lives from childhood to adulthood was done brilliantly, and the flickers of war peeping through and now and then were a great touch.

I really liked the idea of Hermione and Ginny confiding in one another. It was just so natural and well done. I have a feeling that their path to recovery wonít be as simple as this because even if they do confront their demons theyíll always be lurking away in their minds. Even so, I can live in hope for now.

A fantastic chapter, Amanda ♡

Author's Response: Kiana! Thanks so much for your lovely review, and I'm so sorry my response has taken ages.

It's great that you find your perception of Ginny challenged by this story, and that you liked the discussion of trauma in the post-war era. I actually think the emotional and social fallout of the war is the most interesting part of Post-Hogwarts work, and I agree that it's really underrepresented.

I'm glad you liked Ron's sports car! I thought it would be an awesome gift considering how much he loved the Anglia before it bit the dust. And Luna, of course--would she be the coolest honorary aunt ever, or is it just me? :)

I definitely viewed members of the trio and Ginny as still being physically pretty young but emotionally being wise and tired beyond their years. They still find joy in the small moments in life, like Ginny and Hermione having a cup of tea together, but they're unable to live in such a carefree way as others in their age group typically.

Thanks for your sweet review :)
