Hmm, your summary has me intrigued.

Yeah, I agree with Amanda. I don't think he's going to keep records of illegal activity. I doubt even he's that crazy. Or at least, he's not going to keep records that could be read by a student. He could probably keep them, enchanted so only he could read them or something.

As regards why he'd store a load of gold at Hogwarts, stranger things have happened. An Irish politician apparently had IR50,000 and no bank account at one point back in the early '90s. Very strange. And only this week, a load of money was found in a house in Dublin that nobody is claiming. And by "a load", I mean over 100,000. So you know, it's just possible Burke might keep money in the school if he didn't want questions into his Gringotts account.

Ha, ha, Amanda is starting to sound like Hermione.

*grins* The Quibbler is always a way of getting unofficial information. Problem is figuring out what's real.

It makes a lot of sense that Kaden, being Muggleborn would think Nargles as reasonable as Thestrals or Hippogriffs. It's kind of weird when you think of it that Hermione was so sceptical. I wouldn't expect people brought up in the magical world to take them seriously because to them magic is normal and it would be like us thinking magic is reasonable because electricity and wireless broadband is, which really are at least as weird as magic, when you think about it. But if somebody grew up believing magic impossible and found out later that it was real, you'd think they'd be more willing to doubt official versions of what's possible.

Really like the fact that Lorcan and Lysander are so much younger. A lot of stories seem to make all the next generation around the same age and it seems more likely people would have children at different ages.

Author's Response: Burke definitely wouldn't keep a record of his illegal activities, if he's involved with any. That would be a surefire way to get caught. He's smarter than that.

Wow, that is a crazy story! Politicians are crazy. I suppose Burke could keep his gold at the school, but it'd still be risky. Amanda does sound a lot like Hermione! Haha, you're right about the Quibbler.

I've always thought it was odd that Hermione was so skeptical of everything in the Quibbler, when she spent the first almost 12 years of her life not knowing about magic in general. I suppose her logical brain must've realized nargles weren't plausible. Kaden, on the other hand, is likely to believe anything if you tell him it's magical.

J.K. Rowling specifically said Lorcan and Lysander were a lot younger than the rest of the cousins. I can't remember which interview, but I think it might've been the one where she did the family tree. It's one of my pet peeves when all the next gen kids are the same age. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
