Review:PitchBlue says:
I really think this was one of your best chapters - the conversation between Lily and James for one, was just brilliant. The way you incorporate a detailed explanation about the Death Eater movement in a normal conversation is very well done! (I got the bundle of rods refence by the way :D) Your take on Voldemort and his whole movement is so fresh and well thought out. As always, I love the links with muggle history, it gives your story such an unique trait!

Ah, Sirius and Gemma. I must say, I was worried at first when you mentioned problems heading their way - I was like, wait they're the perfect couple?! But you made it very believable and realistic, so kudos to you! It really seems like something that could happen, and even I found Gemma a bit irritating (I still love her though!). It'll be interesting to read Sirius thoughts on it when his POV comes up again.

Oh by the way I was really happy we got to see some James/Lily again :D They're sooo cute together.

Author's Response: Really? One of my best? Ha, I thought this was one of my worst!

Oh believe me, it took a lot of planning to make it sound just right. I didn't want to make it too information heavy, but I wanted to be accurate, so it's good to hear that it felt like a normal conversation! I actually went back to some of my old college essays on Fascism to make sure I had all the traits right - because come on, Voldemort could have totally been friends with Hitler and Mussolini. In fact, during Marianne's discovery at the Valois Mansion, I almost directly quoted several things Mussolini said in some of his speeches. It just fits, man!

The same goes for Gemma. I didn't want to be completely information heavy, but I did want to be accurate. All of her actions are symptoms of something bigger ... but you'll find out exactly what I mean in the next chapter. You may kill me tho, as Sirius and Gemma are very far from being the perfect couple.

Originally, I planned to have James go to Dumbledore to talk things out, but I figured Lily would be the expert on muggles, so I chose to have her talk to him instead. And you know she would be all over his birthday party XD

Thanks for the review, love!
