Hello again!

The two short sections at the beginning of this chapter were really great! I love how on edge Clemence is now because itís so funny to watch, and I canít wait to see how this ends up. Then the little rumours about Scorpius and Dom made me crack up as I could sense Clemenceís silent annoyance about that happening and I couldnít help but feel a little too.

Dom with a Beaterís bat = some scary 12+ word! The old hour rivalry appearing in this chapter was great! I really love how youíve kept it to a minimum throughout but of course Quidditch would cause it to resurface. BURN! (in reference to Clemence saying the thing about Scorpius in front of others) Poor Clemence sheís probably going to need to get herself committed with all this recent craziness! I really like the revelation about Dom and Rose though as it helped me understand them a lot more than I did before. Also, yay for Hooch still being there!

Hmm, so another strange Albus/Clemence occurrence and I still havenít come up with a ship name for the pair. I liked how Dom got a little bit of revenge with saying that the Witch Hunt was now over, it made me laugh a little too darkly. The analogy of the chess game was great and I loved how it played on with Pickett. I wonder what scheme those two will come up with in regards to Albus and Dom, or whether they will at all. With those two you never know!

Oh, god! Angry Rose is really coming out now! This is not good. I donít even want to know what rage she can wage (see what I did :P) against Dom. Another really fantastic chapter! ♥

Author's Response: I remember this chapter being the first one after a long hiatus, and it's when things start getting a little sinister and too close for comfort for Clemence. She's always been the one who has every bit under control, the one who knows everything so far in the narrative. But now the ugly bits are coming out. She isn't the one in charge, when it comes to her and Dom's relationship, and I think that's an important distinction when it comes to two such assertive characters. She also has doubts about what to do with Dom, but fails to push her agenda. It's the first real show of cowardliness from her, to her self-proclaimed best friend no less, and it insinuates a lot about how Clemence treats close relationships.

People like to go for Almence or Clembus for the shipname. I personally prefer Clambus for the mental image :D
