Best chapter so far. You really must have put a lot of thought into this story and have most, is not all of it planned out, for you to tell it out of order. It is so weird, in a good way, how you have Rose on death row, it really gets someone questioning how it happened and how is she the last of her kind. Not to mention we know how it ends and yet you keep us curious as to why.
I have a feeling that Albus may have planned for Rose and Scorpius to be together to begin with, I mean he has mentioned that she would marry him and be fine, after her parents funerals, and yet he scares off all of her pursuers? And now the way he was talking to Scorpius about becoming her favorite person... I think he is up to something, he knows that he can keep Scorpius close and her being with Scorpius would also keep Rose close. On the other hand now that Rose isn't talking to him I have a strange feeling that Scorpius may somehow end up filling that hole in Albus which Rose left... Well to the best of his ability, Albus has made his relationship with Scorpius very clear, and in that case if Rose becomes Albus' enemy then that would put Scorpius in the middle. Just a guess. Also Scorpius seems a bit more independent from the other acquaintances that Albus has, in a way he talks back, admittedly he still does what he's told and it is willingly but he does talk back. Establishing that independence shows that eventually at some point in time he could leave Albus' side.
As for Albus Harry did one heck of a number on him. I wonder if he did it because he knew that there had to be a bad person in this world or if he was trying to train Albus to be like the second chosen one, and teach him his mistakes, so that Albus would be undefeatable, and somehow it horribly backfired.
You really left the chapter on edge, it seems that in some weird way the Head never let Rose see any papers in order to protect her or atleast so she wouldn't feel guilty for all the damage that she had caused. I never considered the fact that she might somehow be considered a hand of god in a way because she has found a cure for death, and that people would want it. It makes complete and total sense that reasoning just slipped past my mind, I would have assumed that she was an enemy because she used such dark magic, which I suppose to the ministry she is.
You have such great characterization and I love this story it is addictive. I really do hope that you update soon, your writing is phenomenal and you really seem to know what your doing. This story truly does keep me on the tip of my toes and please update soon I am so curious about how it all plays out.

Author's Response: I have the main things planned out--as well as the direction I intend to take this story in a chapter by chapter outline. however I tend to change things on the fly so.

Albus is always up to something ;) I won't say anything on that. Scorpius definitely has a rebellious streak that could lead to a falling out with his best mate, should they ever encounter such a thing. You'll just have to see where that goes :)

I love your theory on Harry and Albus, but of course I can't tell you anything right now. I'm glad you liked this chapter because I was worried about the end bit. I'm glad the riot makes sense, because it's not a small thing to bring someone back to life. There HAD to be consequences. It wouldn't just disappear--and it's going to haunt Rose for a very long time. You can see different plot threads slowly weave into the story at this point, creating, to some extent, a kind of domino effect. I am almost done with the next chapter (save a few scenes that are still iffy) and its a BIG one. I'll try to have it up as soon as school allows :)

Thanks again! I appreciate all the reviews! Please come again! Sorry it took me so long to reply as I've been very busy for a while.
