Review:MargaretLane says:
When they were talking about the mandrakes, you gave "wakes" two s's at the end at one point.

Yeah, you wouldn't want 5th years patrolling after the older students' curfew. Imagine being 15 and having to tell off a 17 or 18 year old. *laughs* We have an optional year here in the Irish education system. Basically you can skip our equivalent to 5th year at Hogwarts (our exam is the previous year), so I was in a class with 16 and 17 year olds while I was still 15 and I remember being SO shy around them, even though some were probably only two or three months older than me. I certainly couldn't imagine telling them what to do.

And yeah, when I was 11, I would have been completely in awe of people in their mid-to-late 'teens.

*laughs* Somehow I suspect Meg fancies James.

When Kaden is saying Matt is useless at Potions (changing the phraseology, because I'm not sure if one of the words is non-12+), there's no "at" in the sentence. I'm assuming that's an omission.

*laughs* I think they should DEFINITELY start studying for their O.W.L.S. soon as they sound pretty important. I started studying for my Junior Cert. after the Christmas holidays and the O.W.L.S. seem WAY more important as they determine what subjects you're ALLOWED take for your N.E.W.T.S. And there were rather more studious students than me in my class. I am rather Ravenclawish though and I guess more of them would start studying early.

I think Albus is right to just tell them to tell him as little as possible about their pranks.

Hmm, sounds like there's a story about Elsie again. looking forward to seeing what's going on.

Author's Response: It's probably pretty awkward for the 5th year prefects to tell off the 6th and 7th years. But they have every right to do so as they are prefects. I was younger than much of my class as well because my district had an early kindergarten program for kids with fall birthdays, so they basically do an extra year of school. But I didn't go to that district in kindergarten so I didn't do it. When I moved in first grade, I wound up being anywhere from a few months to a year or more younger than the rest of the kids.

I remember thinking teenagers were so big when I was 11! The first years must be so overwhelmed.

They should start studying, but you know they won't. Rose and Amanda will, and Albus and Matt will soon follow. But John will wait until the last minute.

Albus feels very torn about the pranks. He doesn't want to get his friends in trouble, but he doesn't want to get in trouble for not alerting the professors. I imagine it's similar to how Remus felt as a prefect.

I'm not entirely sure what role Elsie will play, but I find her interesting so I'm going to keep her in the plot. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
