Review:HeyMrsPotter says:
Hello! Here from the forums for your review. I am SO sorry it's taken me this long to get around to doing it, it was my birthday over the weekend and I got a little distracted!

I think your characterisation is perfect in this, as with the other story of yours that I reviewed. I can just picture Ron pacing and fidgeting in frustration and his mum and dad sitting calmly humouring him. The part where Molly and Arthur are explaining how their lives are going to change was lovely, I love how Ron immediately became defensive, it's so like him!

It's not often that fanfiction makes me cry but I totally teared up at Harry talking to James, Ginny too. Their first moments with their son is just so perfect, everything they do, say and worry about is exactly as I would have imagined from them.

Again, your ability to write a women's perspective amazes me, as a mother myself, Ginny's behaviour and comments after having the baby were both incredibly accurate and hilarious, I particularly loved the end line!
I can only assume that you have children yourself, if not I'm even more amazed at how well you've managed to capture the behaviour of new parents.

As for your areas for concern: the two parts hold together brilliantly, they really compliment each other and it flowed from one to the other really well. It's not too soppy at all, parenthood is never too soppy! And as I've already mentioned, I adored Harry's conversation with James.
Another beautifully written story, feel free to request again. Well done and thank you for requesting :)

Author's Response: Hi, there! Like I said before, please don't worry about how long it takes you go get to my requests. I always appreciate the offer.

I'm really glad that it was easy to picture the characters behaving the way that I have them. It's important to me that they sound real and natural. Poor Ron and Hermione are more than a little out of their element here. The world is growing up too fast around them.

Aww, I never like to make anyone cry, but I'm glad that you felt that way about Harry and Ginny's first moments alone as a family. I have 5-year-old twin boys, and I tapped into a lot of what I remember -- memory is a bit fuzzy, of course -- to write this. As far as Ginny's experience, well, I got to hear a lot about that. ;)

I'm really pleased that it all holds together well for you. That has always been my biggest concern.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
