Hey! It's a-me! Mae! I've come with your review! :)

NOTE: Whilst I'm previewing this, it isn't showing my whole review. If I submit it and it doesn't send my whole review, I'll PM you the rest.

OK, so I'm just going to start off right here at the very beginning on exactly what I think of this story. I. Absolutely. Love. It. ! :) Honestly, I've not actually seen a fan fiction cover anything close to this, and it really reminds me of Ghost Whisperer, a show that I used to religiously watch.

OK, all doting to the side (well, there's still doting to come, trust me ;)) Lets get to the points of coverage shall we?

"It was completely full of teenage vampire romances."

Author's Response: Hello! I'm replying your PM review here - I hope that isn't too confusing!

I used to religiously watch Ghost Whisperer, too! I must confess that the idea is partly inspired by it, but not too much else is - for one, Ellie isn't too nice to her ghosts!

The vampire line is a bit of a dig at the genre. Whilst I'm sure that there are a few real gems out there in this genre, I've never really enjoyed it, so I couldn't help myself!

Ellie is very much a self-proclaimed nerd/geek. She has a lot of insecurities which she tries to cover up with her snarky and holier-than-thou attitude. I'm glad that you like her so far - there are places later on where you might not - she can get pretty mean when she feels up to the task.

I really wanted to show a lot of Muggle integration in Ellie's life. Since her dad is a Muggle, I thought it would play a big part in her life, and I also think that perhaps, after the war, the Wizarding society began integrating more Muggle things into their lives and didn't feel so weirded out by it. Ellie is still very much on the extreme end of that spectrum, and the tug-of-war she feels from both worlds comes into play later.

Every story's got to have some drama! Her mother's death is interesting because I don't really talk about it too much - it's just sort of there - but she is who she is partly because of it.

There's a story behind the name, I promise! And I think you have a point about her five-year-old attitude, but I was just remembering what my younger sibling and their friends were like at five, and I remember some of them having a sassy streak a mile long!

The Albus/Ellie dynamic is a little bit James/Lily, but I don't know what I really want to do with it. They may or may not fall for each other, but I don't want the romance to be the focus of this story - it's just there in the background. And their relationship is explored in a little more detail later on.

Rose is... actually a wonderful best friend. She puts up a lot with Ellie and her weirdness, so she's allowed to believe in Divination!

Thanks for pointing out the grammar thing! I have a pretty long list of grammar/punctuation/spelling things that need to be fixed in this chapter now, which I must get around to doing!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review!
