I am not sure if I mentioned this to you before, but as I think back on how Druella died, I'm pretty sure she jumped. Whether it was on her own accord is another story completely. It could be possible, after all, you let us into her thoughts as she fell, but I don't think she would be that dramatic, would she? Then again, I could be underestimating the extent of her grief.
Naturally it's Narcissa that finds her - that poor girl - losing her parents so suddenly. I love how you wrote Bella's reaction. It is very much like her. She's hardened herself to life so long ago that any emotion that stirs within her is masked. She wanted to cry, but she did not. I suppose she still thinks it's a weakness.
But like Bella, I did take note of who wasn't there when Druella's body was discovered. Surprisingly, Lucius Malfoy was one of them. I wonder what could have torn him away from his wife's screaming? While I do think he has something to hide, it has nothing at all to do with this.maybe. But everything to do with that letter. For some reason, I can spot Barty's hand here...not sure why.
Speaking of which, dear Barty Crouch. I do wonder where he was too, and why he wasn't in the house. I don't know how long you plan to have this story go on for, but maybe it's a bit too early to suspect him of much. At the same time, I can't see why he cannot be accused. To be fair, he was the one who brought up the murder theory in the first place. Wispy checked the entire house, but did she really check everywhere?
This brings me to Regulus. In the last chapter, he lied to his brother and his best friend, then interrupted his grandfather to ask to go flying. The latter almost seemed a bit silly. But was it? If he was outside flying around, wouldn't he have seen his aunt on the roof? And wouldn't he have tried to save her? Honestly, between him and Barty, something is going on and I don't like it.
Until your next chapter :)
Author's Response: Hey there again - so glad to see you come back and I'm glad you're still enjoying it! :)
Jumped or cursed... yeah, it is a question :P I admit that I tried to make sure it wasn't clear - so it's really up to you what you think happened ;) Sorry!
Narcissa is really having a pretty bad time of it here, tbh. She actually cared; Bella, I think, cared but just can't cry or anything like that. She's a bit psycho, lol. I'm glad you liked how I wrote her - she's one of my favourite characters, so I'd absolutely hate to get her wrong!
Mm... yeah, Lucius wasn't there. I can agree with you that he has something to hide, and the letter is important and will become more important later on (I think).
Poor Barty. Everyone suspects him! :P Nah, not really. He's having the time of his life, lol. The story is going to go all the way the numbers in a pack of cards, including Ace and Joker, so it's got a way to go yet! But yeah, it's definitely okay to start accusing people, I think. I can tell you, I think, that Wipsy does obey all her orders precisely ;) Does that help? Probably not, lol.
Ah, Regulus. Yes, something is definitely up with him - actually something is up with most of the cast, tbh. Gah, I can't say anything else about Regulus... sorry! But you're definitely thinking along the right lines ;)
Thank you so so much for the review - I love reading your reviews, particularly your suspicions, they're so great to receive! :)
