Review:Ardeith says:
I don't think I like Timothy Parrish! I don't mean he's a bad fictional character, in fact even with what little we've seen he reminds me of someone, too (more on that in a second). It's just I don't want Beth to settle, I don't want her to give up on Sneth!

So...Timothy Parrish. The two things he said in the elevator, the "remember who I am" and the anti-goblin statement are not so bad in and of themselves, I can imagine Severus or Sirius or James saying those, but it just reminded me of someone and you know how I get when fiction resonates in my life...

And I'm not blaming Beth, because obviously her relationship with Sev leaves a lot to be desired, so can understand her entertaining the thought of Timothy, but.don't do it, Beth! You'll go out with him and be thinking of Sev the whole time and comparing Timothy to him and wanting to text Sev.oops! Beth doesn't text... Hold out for Sev, Beth, it's worth it! And all will be well in the end.

Anyway. obviously, we know Sirius told, but can't remember if James knows that too. Is he covering for Sirius or just focusing on the problem that he thinks he can solve (getting back the memories).

And this was just a cute little bit, that seemed so right for the Marauders' friendship:

“Who are we blaming?” he asked pleasantly.

“Sirius,” Beth responded immediately"

Author's Response: The thing about Timothy is that so far, he's really not a bad guy... but it's like I said in the author's note. There's a very specific person in my life he's modeled after, and that might bleed through in the writing a bit. :D I can't tell you if he's up to anything more suspicious than a date, though. (I can't tell you that in real life or in this story, come to think of it.) I'm with you, though -- I don't want Beth to settle either!

Beth will subconsciously be wanting to text Severus, of course, even if she doesn't know she does. ;) It stands to question, though, if you can get over someone after wanting them for so long. You know? That's a question I'd actually like to hear answers to...

James does not know that Sirius blabbed, no. And you'll see if he ever finds out! I'm glad you liked that little offhand comment of Beth's, too. I love the casual, close Marauder-y friendship. ♥

Thank you for reviewing, as always -- it makes my week every time!
