Hiya AD :) Review tag this time!
Gosh, this was an incredibly intense and tragic chapter. It was really wonderfully written, starting with that horrible nightmare and transitioning to Dom's slow return to consciousness and her laboured attempts to remember what happened. And then finally, when she remembers. It's just such an awful thing to happen to her and her family, and I think you've done a great job in depicting the scale of this heartbreaking and life-shattering incident on the Weasley family. Fleur and Victoire are clearly quite emotional to the point of hysterics. Don't know if I mentioned this in the last review, but I think it's great you've chosen Dominique as a character to be attacked by a werewolf, because Bill himself was savaged by Fenrir, and Teddy (who is Dom's boyfriend here - love this pairing, by the way :D ) has a father who is a werewolf. So it's really quite nice to explore all the lycanthropy links within the family.
The speech Dom gave to Teddy was shocking but not unexpected. It's a nice little detail there, about Harry. And I think you've captured the essence of Harry's character with those couple of sentences. I love the fact that she stumbled upon Harry's Pensieve and discovered that memory there. It's very realistic and it fits canon superbly. So great work on that.
Gah, made me so incredibly sad, seeing her push everyone away. But of course, it is understandable, and I do hope that she'll be able to reconnect with her family members and Teddy - slowly. And adjust to the new changes in her life, though I imagine that this will be an incredibly difficult process. I love how soft and gentle Teddy is in this chapter :) He'll be great support for sure, if he keeps this up :DD
Anyway, great work on this chapter! Things are really becoming more intense and more poignant, and I think you're doing a great job with this story so far. Excellent work.
Author's Response: Hey teh! Thanks again for reading and reviewing.
I am glad you found this tragic and intense, and think it was well-written. I was worried that I overdid the 'drama' but its good to know that you think I depicted the scale of this incident well. Yes, Fleur and Victoire are quite emotional, and there's a 'deeper' reason as to why which will be revealed in chapter four. Dominique has grown to become one of my favourite characters and I love exploring her, so it's great you like it. I love Teddy/Dom too!
Oh I was so worried about 'capturing' Harry but thank you for your kind words. They put me at ease.
Yes, she'll reconnect with them of course, but it will take time. Difficult process indeed. Teddy is a very mature, sensible, and gentle person - I think of him that way as a product of growing up without parents, under Harry's care, and having Remus' genes.
I am pleased you are liking the story so far, thanks!
