Review:AirStarShine says:
I don't think I've reviewed this story before, but it's made such an impact that I simply must tell you how wonderful it is. The thing I love most about it as that it is not a stereotypical AlbusxOC fanfiction. Those always include an awkward, weird girl that SOMEHOW attracts the attention of cool, popular Albus, who is 95% of the time a player. Those stories always turn me off. Seriously. They're quite... irritating... and unoriginal.

But what you have written here is the most amazing AlbusxOC fanfiction ever, mainly because of Clemence. She is not awkward, stupid, or a tomboy, or any of those stereotypes you see in AlOC fics. She's sensible and smart and cold and I love her so much! It makes for a realistic and fun story. I also love her clever sarcasm. And I love that she's hard on the outside but slowly cracking to show her soft inside. :) Great character. One of my favorites in all time history. Oh yeah, and I love how she handled the "after morning" bit. I mean, what knucklehead just forgets about that and pretends it never happened? Ugh. Those girls deserve what they get, thank goodness they're not in the majority, or there'd be fifty billion teenage mothers. Sensible Clemence rules!

I also love Albus in this. He's so - the only word I can properly use here is - smexy, without being a player. That is all.

Anyway, Team Clemence all the way and I hope you update soon!

Author's Response: Eee, that's such a huge compliment. I think there are a lot of great characters out there that can rock being awkward or a tomboy, but for a lot of them, that's all they are. They're awkward - that's it - and it's not very satisfying. Ice queen is another stereotype, to be fair, but I'd like to think Clemence is more than that, too. I've never been happy with how ~heartless cynics~ are the results of a bad childhood and they'd open up with love; nope, Clemence is quite happy with being selfish and snarky, thank you very much, and there are very few things she bothers to care about, like Dom and delicate balance of idiocy in the school.

There are not enough sensible morning afters, ever! If Clemence's experience has de-romanced steamy beach friskiness for even one reader out there, I saved someone from a bad case of knicker rash.

♥ thank you!
