Author's Response: Thank you! It means a thousand times more that you still enjoyed the story even though the ending wasn't to your taste. There was a point when I could have brought Rose and Scorpius together, but the Scorpius of this story is just too problematic - had he been a more balanced individual, it might have worked.

I really like what you've said about some stories not having the happy ending we look for - every reader has their own expectations of a happy ending, and the challenge for the author is to decide on that ending.
