Review:Cat says:
I haven't really had the time to write a proper review, but trust me, I have clung to the computer every Sunday for new chapters. But here goes:

These chapters have really had the feeling of starting up again. All the emotions from Beth, Sirius trying to handle her, and oh, Severus. Dear old Severus. Of course he would start noticing something strange with his mind. He is, if anything, the master of his own mind. I like it, it feels only natural that he would want to know, and that he would feel somethings missing.
Don't get me wrong, I really feel for Beth, all she is going through, but she isn't handling it very well. She really needs to sit lock herself in her apartment and figure out how to handle herself around the subject, and how to cope when she sees Sev. I know you have made her, and that all of this has a reason behind it, and this is how she is as a person. Somehow all of that flies out the window and I want to try to help her, give her support. That is, if anything, a sign of your success. You make them alive, you make them in to more than characters in a novel, Well done!!

Looking forward, as always, to your next chapter. I really hope Beth will find some kind of ease, and find strenght somewhere. Superbly done!

Author's Response: It's so great to hear from you for the first time on this story! :) I'm thrilled to bits that you await the Sunday updates, too; you can't imagine how much that truly means to me. ♥

I think that, out of anyone in the Potterverse who could have had their minds removed, Severus would be the first to know something was up. These first few chapters definitely are getting-back-into-gear ones, as it were, but the story's going to start to pick up from here on out.

Beth really isn't handling her new situation well; you're absolutely right there. In my head, she's continually on the edge of a breakdown for much of this book, but that's where the Marauders step in and start helping her piece her life back together. You'll see what I mean quite shortly! I'm so appreciative of the fact that you find the characters in this novel to be like real people, though, honestly. I try very hard to make them as believable as possible, even if that takes away sometimes from their likability (like Beth's increasing inability to cope under pressure), and hearing that from a reviewer makes everything completely and fully worth it.

The next chapter should be up quite soon, and I'd love to hear your reaction to that one, too! ♥ Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me this review!!
