Such an interesting plot. I'm excited to see where it goes.

I'm also a fan of how this story follows our favorite series with the dementors and wee little Luna reading her magazine. I'm guessing it's Harry Freaking Potter's third year, and our little narrator is the same age as Freddie and Georgie? Awesome.

Hagrid's in this story?! Hey Hagrid! Remember that time when you gave Dudley a pig's tail?! Aragog is a cool name for a spider! I named my fish "fluffy," are you proud? Hagrid, just say that you're proud of me D:

I think you've effectively described the awkwardness/gloominess of someone who has to change schools a good chunk of the way in (maybe like senior year for us muggles). This character had a lot happen to her and I've immediately taken with her story.
