So that's where the "all for Lily" "myth" came from! ;-) Seriously I loved how you tied this into canon.

Also, nice job in the opening paragraphs answering some of my questions, though it is heartbreaking that Sev doesn't even remember Beth as someone he had gone to Hogwarts with. It's hard to do that sort of exposition/explanation without it coming off clunky, but you did a great job here. (I found a new strength of yours to comment on!)

Also loved the description of how Sev felt without the memories of Beth. Really genius stuff...I found myself thinking "yeah, that's just how it would feel". Though this was really a pretty bleak chapter, the fact that Sev notices that something is wrong (dare I say missing?) gives me hope...

So nice to have you and Sneth back! ;-)

Author's Response: Yes, indeed! :3 I'm so pleased you liked how this all tied into canon -- it's been strange, suddenly thrusting Lily back into the picture. And after all that time shoving her out of it!

Exposition/explanation sometimes feels so difficult, and I'm beyond thrilled that you thought this chapter's was great. ♥ You are so truly lovely, Ardeith -- your reviews never fail to make me smile! Writing beginnings of chapters is always sort of difficult, I feel.

This chapter was quite bleak. :( And I'm afraid a lot of this story's got a depressing edge to it because of the situations of the characters -- I see this as sort of a depressing time for everyone involved. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, definitely! Don't lose hope yet!
