I thought this was a really interesting take on a post war Malfoy and I really enjoyed it! You can hear the hint of regret in his voice and his thoughts and views on everything that happened. You write Draco really well!

I love that you brought in things from the books and tied everything in - little things like that make a story. Dobby in particular was a nice addition - I liked that Draco wasn't cruel to him and was sad to hear he'd died *sob*.

I also really enjoyed what you did with the golden trio - even though I don't want to think that badly of Ron, for the purpose of your story it works well. I like Draco's fascination with Hermione, it puts them in a good starting point for a relationship. Again I'm not a shipper of the two of them so trust me when I say that's a compliment coming from me!

Nice use of the quotes from the song - well done!

Author's Response: Hey Lauren! Yeah I've seen a lot post war Draco's and I've never particularly liked them, so when you gave me the song and the characters, I was immediately excited as I could finally tell the story I thought Draco deserved.

I am massive fan of canon facts so including those are very important to me, so I'm glad that you loved it. I always wondered what Draco and Dobby's realtionship may have been like, and I always imagined that they would have got along relatively well, so I wanted to show his sadness of Dobby's death.

I do love Ron as well, and I did feel mean portraying him in a bad light, but like you said for my story he needs to be like that. I always thought that Draco did pay too much attention on Hermione even if she was a 'mudblood', so I guess that's where his fascination of her stems from.
