REVIEW TAG!

What a fun story you have here! It was a long chapter, and now that I'm in the habit of keeping a sort of running commentary on the side whilst I read, I reckon you'll get a pretty long review!

I really enjoyed the description of Hogwarts at the beginning of the story. It seemed to really capture the gothic charm of the place, which is quite often missing in fanfics, especially those that are more character driven. And I guess Hogwarts isn't Hogwarts without Hagrid, who was in this for like a line, but was still adorable, even though he was holding two dead roosters at the time.

Sirius and James are so cute! They are seriously my one true brotp. I loved how you showed them as just two fifteen-year-old-boys, having fights with fake wands at the back of the class and making castles out of Exploding Snap cards - just the kind of activities you would expect them to get up to in class!

I adored Remus' line, "I usually am" in reference to his own intelligence. You've really played down how much he hates himself, and given him a real confidence boost in your depiction. I reckon it's an interesting take on the character, especially considering that he was happiest at Hogwarts with his friends.

I found Sirius acting like a canine perversely endearing, for some strange reason. That may be because I adore him, though.

Remus actually talks a lot like me (which makes him much more likeable and easier to relate to, in my opinion!), especially with his "The binding is fragile!" comment!

I'm loving the relationship dynamic between the Marauders. There are some seeds for future tensions already, which I like. It's quite obvious that James and Sirius are the leaders of the pack, with their different, but equal strengths and weaknesses. They've got an easy, teasing banter going between them, but it's still obvious that they care about their friends, as evidenced by the fact that they adopted Peter and still keep him around. I'm quite sure we see Remus feel much the same way in the books.

Some finishing thoughts: adoring that Sirius' reckless nature is so prevalent already; I think Dara is adorable; and I absolutely loved the part where Lily glares at James with murderous intent, and Remus' imagination causes the scenario to skyrocket out of the ionosphere. That escalated quickly!

Anywho, a wonderful first chapter, and I'm really looking forward to reading what happens next!

Author's Response: Hey there!

Thank you so much for the lovely review-I luuurve getting positive feedback (or feedback of any kind) so this really made me day!

I'm so glad you liked Sirius and James and all the other characters-this chapter was a lot of fun to write, so it's good that it came out that way too!

Thank you once again!
Courtney:)
