Oh my, what is happening here?! I'm shocked and a bit confused at the same time. Like Helena said, I thought Rowena had wanted her daughter to be married soon and now that she is...Rowena's trying to stop her? Or maybe that was just me and my misreading of things. Hm, I wonder if this sudden change of heart has something to do with Venn being the nephew of Salazar.

Speaking of Salazar, he is really giving it all his best to keep muggles away from Hogwarts, isn't he? I really like how you managed to insert in that bit of information into the story. :P *Slytherin Pride*

Trust me, Helena is definitely confused, so it's not surprising that you are, too! You've basically summed it up already. Rowena did really want Helena to get married off and to align herself with society's expectations for her, but she's second-guessing her rush now because she's worried that Venn will end up like Salazar, turning into a blood fanatic, and that he won't be a good match for her daughter. She's trying to frame it like she cares for Helena, and she does, but under that guise is her desire to see Helena with someone else.

He really is. Things only get worse from here with Salazar, unfortunately, and as you might imagine, that puts Venn in a difficult position.

I'm glad you liked this chapter, and I hope to see you back soon for the next one! Thanks again for your very kind review.
