This was AMAZING. Absolutely brilliant! Gah. Seriously, I can't even express how awesome this was. There was so much packed into one chapter that by the time I was finished I had to pause for a second to really understand what had just happened. Haha.
Yay yay yay Beth and Severus! SNETH SNETH SNETH. As you can see, I clearly ship them. They're so cute together, but not in a really romantic/gushy way. They're awkward around each other, and that feels really realistic. They don't just fall madly in love and then turn into this picture-perfect couple, which I love. I can really connect to Beth in those situations! Haha.
I CAN'T BELIEVE BETH SPILLED THE BEANS ABOUT LILY BEING PREGNANT. But I'm really glad that Roark (who i love, by the way) didn't see that it Severus's thoughts! And the bracelet that he got for her had a bird on it! That was so cute. SNETH. I just want them to work so badly! And now that Roark knows about her I'm really nervous that something bad is going to happen!!! They just have to be ok!
A line I LOVED in this was after Roark manages to see into Sev's thoughts.
Roark was sneering from where he still stood behind the opposite chair, upper lip curled into an expression of utter disgust. "What," he hissed through his teeth, his voice cold enough to freeze, "was that about, Snape?"
Ah I could picture that so clearly when I read it, and I just got chills! I really love how you write the Death Eaters, and can't wait to read more of them!!!
This chapter was phenomenal, and I adored it! You are fantastic! So much Sneth :) 10/10

Author's Response: Haha! Oh, Cassie. :P I'm so happy you liked this chapter as much as you did! This is probably one of the most ship-centric chapters in this story so far, I think, and I have to admit that I was having quite a few moments of my own while writing this, just sitting back and letting everything happen. :D I think it's so important to write romance that isn't always gushy and harlequin-novel-esque, which is something I really, really tried to portray here. They AREN'T the picture-perfect couple, and yet they make it work anyway. And I just love that you're able to see that!

Not saying anything about what Roark may or may not conjecture, of course... you'll have to read on! :3 I actually didn't anticipate enjoying writing the Death Eaters in this story as much as I do (I feel like I say that a lot; I'm not sure what I anticipated about this story anymore, but it seems like everything's taken me by surprise!). My writing gave you chills?! That comment just made my day! ♥
