Review:Elphaba and Boyfriends says:
Hello, Elphaba here again!

I continue to enjoy this story, even when I don't always know where the plot is going. During the breakfast scene, for instance, I found myself wondering how it connected with Squiggles' murder, when I suddenly read this: "At this rate, she'd never keep up with her vigorous Triathlon training program," at which point I burst out laughing.

I'm not quite sure what is going on with the Carrows and the murders, and am not sure that I'm meant to. If the point is to mimic Mary Sues and actually do it in a way that is funny and entertaining, then you are succeeding very well. :)

Other especially funny parts are this: "She had on an I'm-dressed-impeccably-but-trying-not-to-look-too-pretty-otherwise-I'd-blind-you-with-my-sheer-brilliance outfit."

And the idea that the detective would actually drop what he's doing in order to bake cookies for her!

And that poor Peony actually thought that was a puddle of strawberry jam. ;)

Author's Response: Hi again!

I think if you knew where the plot was going, then I might be accused of being "predictable", which I'm trying to avoid... either that, or I'm making excuses. ;) On the other hand, if it's still making you laugh, then I must not be doing half bad.

Yes, the point is to mimic Mary Sues AND have a plot that is funny and entertaining... I know that seems counter-intuitive, but this was one gigantic experiment. If you get to the end, let me know how I did.

Heh heh. I loved that outfit too. It's one of my favorites. Wish I had one. And also a detective that bakes. It seems like such an essential skill for a crime solver. About that puddle of jam... haha. More on that later.

Thanks so much for coming back for another chapter and giving me your thoughts. You are welcome to comment on anything and everything! I want to hear it all.
