Review:Courtney Dark says:

I can't believe I haven't done so already, but I am definitely adding this story to my favourites as soon as I've finished writing this review, as it is seriously what one the best things I have read on this site. Anyway, on to the chapter...

I love that so much of what happens in this story is very close to canon, but told from Brienne's perspective. I think the reason I like this is because I miss looking forward to finding out what happens next in the Harry Potter books and this is about as close as it gets! This chapter really took me back to the Prisoner of Azkaban, which I absolutely love!

I like how you mentioned the fact that Brienne's mother used to send her Halloween treats and that 'She wasn't sure how she would be able to cope with the knowledge that no special packages would be arriving in the post, no midnight snacks, and no light show because it keeps it fresh in the reader's mind that something terrible has recently happened to Brienne's mother and, while all else may seem normal, she hasn't completely recovered from that.

I love the friendship that has formed between Brienne and Angelina. I feel like she really needs a friend in these hard times and the dynamics between the two girls and Fred and George are brilliant! I also really enjoyed your descriptions of the Great Hall and the smells as Brienne first entered for the Halloween Feast. I honestly think details like that can make or break a story-in this case, make. In saying that, I do feel as though this chapter, as a whole, felt a little rushed compared to the others. While I was reading, I really wanted to know more-especially in the scene where everyone was crowding around the empty fat lady portrait and when they were sitting down to begin the feast. I don't know, this could just be me wanting so much more of your fabulous writing!

I did really enjoy the Great Hall scene at the end of the chapter. I think your description:'the confused and panicked change of atmosphere extremely jarring' was spot on and, once again, really took me back to the books. I also loved how worried Angelina was about the boys, and how carefree they seemed as the twins finally got back to the girls. And the little interaction between George and Brienne at the end...perfect!

I am intrigued to see what significance the Hermit, Empress, Lovers and Justice has to the story, and can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Hi!

Apart from DH, POA is my favourite HP book, and I think it's the natural place to start this story. I will go through the entire story from this point with Brienne, with sequels for each year. It's a real 'saga' as it were, and this is only the beginning xD

I will go through it and try to add a little more description so it feels less rushed xD Thanks for pointing it out!

Brienne and Angelina have a great friendship, which is developed more in a few chapters' time.

If you do favourite it, then thank you kindly :)

Thank you again for the lovely review :)
