YOU GAVE ME A WARM FUZZY. Finally, after all the sads and intense, I got a warm fuzzy and I'm holding onto it for dear life. SCORPIUS AND ROSE FUZZIES. DON'T TAKE THEM AWAY!
This was really, really one of my favorite chapters. It was still intense, because... you know, there are undead creatures waiting just beyond the perimeter waiting to kill every person it can in the blink of an eye.. That keeps me at level intense. But you added a lot of issues with Hermione that reminded me how human she is. The dream about Ron, it wasn't only very well done, but it was so, so painful. I don't know what I thought, but there was that 'somehow, just maybe' sort of feeling. I knew just as well as her that it wasn't real, but I tried not to believe that. And then when the second part of the dream started (Ps. how screwed up are those? The, you wake up but you're not actually awake.. I get those sometimes and I HATE them. They are scary). Anyway, when that second part started, I thought that it could be real! My mind was spinning in all sorts of crazy directions. Is this how the Zombies manage to temporarily immobilize their victims? By creating these false images, rendering the person helpless as they think what they want most is in front of them.. and gah I got so scared.†THEN it was really all a dream, and I was *very* happy about that.
THEN she finds Rose and Scorpius! Well, I guess not find them, but you know what I mean. And I wondered as well as Hermione how long they'd been going on for, then when Rose told her about how they were worried about how Ron would react and then then it didn't even matter because he was gone :(. Gah. Feels. But they are quickly switched to good feels when Rose tells him that Ron would have been okay once he sees what a fine young man Scorpius is. Thank you for warm fuzzying me ♥. NOW please don't kill these two :( Haha.
And Draco! Way to cliff me, now I'm going to be demanding YOU SWAP ME BACK NOW SO I CAN FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS. Was he trying to fight his way to his son? Did they get him? Did he make it? Gahh.
Okay. I come up with plans while I read this, like what they should do. Here's my newest one. Every adult draw short straws, whoever losses has to wait until dusk and stand outside of the wards around Hogwarts, then wait until all the creepies to swarm.. THEN they jump on their broom and light the whole group of them on fire! Although there are probably more than what would gather, but if we did it enough times...
Seriously. There has to be a way to kill these things without anymore people dying :(. You're story is addicting and I JUST WANT TO LIVE IN YOUR HEAD.
Author's Response: Living in my head is a very scary, boring place. run away! :P
This dream, ah, it hit me like a freight train while I was bored at work one day, and I just sat down and wrote it all out and then thought, wow, I am actually a horrible person. But it's especially poignant because she might actually see Ron as a zombie. You just. never. know. ;)
Also, I totally have that thing where you wake up in a dream but you aren't really awake. That happens to me usually when i take a nap, and usually in the dream I keep telling myself to move my arms but I can't. I think I'm moving my arm but I'm not...it is so unsettling!
I really enjoy writing Rose and Scorpius, they are one of my favorite pairings, though they are really over done. The fact that they've managed to keep this secret and it's just now out is really a stress reliever for Rose, I think, but it is sad about their father.
Hey, every chapter can't be about murder and zombies and horror. There has to be SOME feels in there somewhere.
Right now I'm having a bit of fun with Draco in my current chapter I'm working on :)
And your strategy is basically what they have been doing and will continue to do, although I'm going to come up with some creative and most likely humorous ways to destroy them as well :)
YAY I am so excited that I get to go read BTF now yaaay!!!
