Yeah, you found my novel. :)

Yes, Draco is really human and has feelings. And really, it was my mother that taught me that men were heartless scum and I actually believed her. But then I actually met some and had wonderfully deep conversations with them. It was then that I realized she was very wrong. Our men do have feelings and they have hearts that can be utterly broken.

Stella... that little dog came about for many reasons. I wanted him to feel love for something and I needed Lucius to take it away. It was very sad, but she did attack him. Also, of course, I needed her to be a lesson in blood for Draco. Sad piece, indeed. ;(

I am so glad that you liked the way I wrote Lucius and Draco's tense relationship. I think we see that tension in the movies. For this story, I wrote bad memories, but not unforgivable ones. He is still loyal to his family, after all.
