Whooop! This is so cool! (Strange choice of words maybe, seen the tone of the story, but alas.) I very much like the idea of Astoria helping Draco accept his past and then they'll fall in love and awww that is so cute! and Draco's sligtly cynical/dark tone is exactly right. With his youth, anyone would have lost faith in the concept of people wanting to help without you having to do them a favour back, and faith in happy endings, I think.

D'awww, Draco, poor old sourpuss... HE'S SO CUTE!!!
(Don't judge, he is.)

PS I see that my sentences are entirely too long but I'm not gonna change it so there.

PPS 'He was a born monster; anyone could have seen it - exept blind batty Dumbledore'. Oh Draco, if you only knew.
And do we get to know more about what Astoria did in the war? Draco doesn't see half how interesting she is.

Author's Response: Bahaha, cool and awws and cute were not expected, but they are welcome nonetheless xD I love a Draco redeemed, which will always require grappling with the past, and so this has been my headcanon as to how it happens, of sorts. It's really really forlorn, so the thought of calling him a sourpuss - it's like he's grumpy cat. That's what I'm imagining, grumpy cat in one of those strange sweaters Tom Felton wears. The story is a little darker, unfortunately :'D

There is definitely more of Astoria to come! Perhaps not what she did, but definitely how it's affected her.
