Wow! You two have really out done yourselves! I've just read rachels piece for you and I think she has done wonderfully and now that I have read yours I think that you have too! I dont know where you came up with the idea for Cedric to be a pawn of Voldemorts even after he was dead! This oneshot had my attention from the very beginning and kept it until the very end! I absolutely loved what you did with this, I thought it was just wonderful! The description in this was beauitful and really painted the picture for me! I felt so bad for Rachel when she looked up and realized that it was Cedrics body that was looming over her with a wand pointed at her! I can only imagine how hard and heartbreaking that must have been! Oh but then Cedric started to realize who she was and how much she meant to him. But he still couldn't get those three small words out before he died which is just still so sad because i thought that maybe she would know that he loves her! Oh how this piece just makes me feel so bad and makes me want to go back and read all of Rachels story again and experience the wonderful Rachel/Cedric feels! Great Job!

Author's Response: Rachel and I are going to have to keep upping the ante for Christmas one-shots. I don't know what I'm going to write next year; I'm running out of ways to impress her!

The concept of Voldemort using Inferi was one I was profoundly surprised did not happen in canon. Or at least if it did, we didn't see it. He used Inferi in the first war, so why not the second? And it would be perfect to use his dead enemies; it would not only humiliate their memories, but it would make the people he's fighting against hesitate to attack their former loved ones.

I absolutely love Rachel/Cedric - it's one of the first fluffy romance stories I'd read on HPFF that also included angst. I kept waiting for her to make it AU and so of course she destroyed me with the ending, and I guess I still can't let go of their relationship because here I am writing zombie Cedric still loving her.

Thank you for reading and reviewing!
