Review:CambAngst says:
I think this would be the moment for a good Sque, don't you? She kissed him! Yes!

So one thing I forgot to say in my review of the last chapter: Crookshanks! Yay, I was so excited to see him. And he's going to help find Hermione. Such a loyal creature!

I've probably thought this 4 or 5 times now, but this chapter was my favorite so far. You keep building on this wonderful plot you've constructed, adding bits and pieces and slowly transforming it and taking it in new directions, all the while bringing the two of them back toward one another. The underlying sentiment of what they share is so beautiful. Just amazing to read!

The sort of shell-shocked stroll that they take after leaving the Leaky Cauldron gave both of them some good time to reflect and really explore the feelings that it evoked. I loved the mix of shock and fascination, mixed with a bit of fear and a dab of longing. A perfect reaction.

Everything that happens in the library was perfect. She's right at home and he can't seem to concentrate on anything except her. Which annoys her. Beautiful characterization of the two of them. So many awesome little moments, like when she's looking for her wand without quite realizing what she's doing or when he makes the book fall off of the shelf. It wasn't completely clear whether she summoned the story about her parents' death by magic, but I like to believe that maybe she did.

Hermione must just be devastated. I could feel the confusion and hurt and loss so easily as I read the section inside the Grangers' old office. When she finally finds the picture of herself, it released a floodgate of tension. I think I started to breathe again. ;)

The way you wrote Ron's reaction to her breakdown was brilliant. He struggles so much, goes back and forth several times, can't quite figure out what to do, and then follows his heart and lo and behold it's the right thing. Go, Ron! I also loved the little bit about emotional range and a teaspoon. That was perfect!

And then the kiss! YES!!! You made me wait 8 chapters for it, but it was perfect in that moment. Honestly, any sooner and it would have felt wrong. Any later and I might have hunted you down, though. ;)

Like I said, my favorite chapter so far. I do hope they find their way back to Harry and Ginny soon. And Crookshanks. Poor, old fellow is going to be so happy to see her! Til next time!

Author's Response: Yes, yes, they kissed! I didn't even really plan it originally, Hermione just went ahead and did it while I was writing, and I decided to keep it there. She was experiencing a real whirlwind of emotions, and Ron really went out of his way to support her even though he hardly knows her...so that somehow happened.

Writing the library scene was fun since it was such a natural habitat for Hermione, while for Ron, it wasn't. But there was Hermione and he couldn't take his eyes off her. And all the little reminders of the teaspoon and everything, there are these little things slowly resurfacing. :) I'm glad you noticed that.

It's so amazing this chapter was your favorite, because it was so great to write it for me as many important things happened in here.

This review was so amazing. You point out everything that I, as a writer, put into the chapter. You have no idea how that makes me feel. :) THANK YOU!
