Of course Hermione figured it out within seconds. She's Hermione! Nice touch. The thing with the blood is great. If the books hadn't ended the way they did, and Voldemort would have stayed alive, I can imagine something like this happening to him. It's believable, also creative, great job.

Hah, Malfoy will never change being a git, will he? I'm excited about his new stand on the war and his willingness to help, whatever his motifs. I always get excited when former enemies team up together to achieve a mutual goal. This should get interesting. I believe you when you say it, you've been building up to this moment very nicely. I'm also looking forward to the happy ending this story seriously needs.

Author's Response: I maintain this point a lot in Potter-related debates (which, I'll admit, I engage in more than is perhaps socially acceptable), but Ron and Harry would have gotten nowhere without Hermione. Of course she would have figured out the problem with the death of Harry's blood! I was a bit nervous about the reveal, as to why Voldemort was dying, why his blood was, in essence, seeping from his fingertips. The reaction has been absolutely tremendous, and I'm so, so pleased. Thank you!

Malfoy is kind of always going to be a git, period. But that's not to say he doesn't have some semblance of morals! Sometimes I get the impression that the build-up has been slower than some might like, but your opinion is very much valued, and I'm so pleased you think it's worked.
