The bracelet worries me...I hope it doesn't cause trouble for Sev at Death Eater headquarters...

I liked how this chapter showed growth in their relationship. I liked how it was Sev that Beth wanted to turn to in needing to talk about/deal with what happened with her parents.

And even better when Sev said “I don’t want you to feel like anything you tell me - anything you ever tell me - is a waste of time.” My heart melted a little bit, because that's such an important stage in a relationship. :-D

And that's why you are a good writer and this is a good story...because even though it's about witches and wizards fighting a good vs evil war, your characters behave like real people which makes us invested in them.

Author's Response: You are the first reviewer -- and I thank you for it! The bracelet is important to the story, but I think you can lay your fears to rest. ;) It is, after all, needed in the third book, as well! But I'll say no more on that front...

This chapter was rather short, but I think it's necessary for the reason you stated: It did show a growth in Beth and Severus's relationship, or whatever you'd like to call it. I'm glad I could melt your heart a bit! Sometimes Sev just knows the right thing to say. Unfortunately, those are rarer times than in the alternative case.

I'm seriously SO happy that you've found, and continue to find, my characters to be realistic. Realism is (as I know I've told you) one of the most important things to me when writing a story, and you can't imagine what such compliments do to support my continuing on! Thank you for the review, and for all your reviews, and for being such a fantastic support system. I can't wait for you see the next chapter! ♥
