I loved this chapter, it's my favourite so far. Hermione is really funny and I found her dialogue with little Hugo very entertaining. I also like how you gave some detail into her life, like the book she wanted to write. P.U - when I saw that I swear you were reading my mind :) I have a very deep attachment to unicorns.

One of the things that I noticed is that you didn't detail Dennis's body language in regards to his interactions with Hermione and I believe that if you did so the kiss wouldn't seem like it came out of nowhere (for example: "Dennis watched her as she prepared the tea and for some reason felt an overwhealming desire to be close to her. He got up and went by her side. "Let me help you with that" he said, noticing how the athmosphere in the room had shifted now that they were alone"). It was just my impression that it sort of came as very blunt and with no warning to the reader. Okay I may have gone a little overboard so forgive me if you take offence. It was in no way my intention.

I'm going to end the review here but I want to know who the girl is, so update soon!

Author's Response: Hi Missy. You're spot on the with your suggestions about Dennis's feelings for Hermoine and I am going to redo the chapter as soon as I have finished writing chapter 6. I must agree with you as well chap 5 is also my favorite, I like the verbal sparring between Hugo and Hermoine as well as the domestic situation we see her in. Chap 6 should shed some light on not only who the murdered children were but who may have been responsible. But then again I shouldn't look so far ahead, often times a chapter can turn out completely different from how I intended it. In fact this story itself is quite different from the one I set out to write, I wanted a horror/mystery novella and so far this has been nothing like that. Ah well its my first fan fic. I must also say a most sincere thank you for all your support and suggestions. I haven't had that many readers, but the few I have I wouldn't trade for the world
