Guess who's back! Everytime I continue reading this story, I keep getting swept up in it and just how good and exciting it is. I love that its not a normal pairing, its really never talked about but it makes this story so much more fun and exciting because it is different and new! I love that there was more snape and beth in this though i felt bad for the reasons behind him seeking her out. It was expected though that it was indeed her owl over at the Slytherin table but I was thinking along the lines that maybe Sirius had owled her parents about Severus. It was an enjoyable chapter and I'm so excited to see the Snape and Beth stuff. And oh she's keeping another secret! Though its a secret that only her and Snape know and I feel that its her trying to have a bit of Snape to herself.. or at least something that connects her to him in some way. I wonder though how thats going to come to play when her friends find out that she is keeping yet again another secret from them?

The whole bit with Lily seemed really awkward which is what, I think, you were looking for and it did come across to me. I think my favorite bit was his awkward smile to her as she and Severus part ways and loved when she told him if he didn't see her in class he would know where to find her. I thought it was rather funny and cheeky of her! Great Job!

I'm so glad for your support for this story -- for all my stories, really. :) I think that I tend toward less-normal pairings, just for the reason that if I want to read something, and I can't find a story about it that suits my tastes, I'll write it! It's what happened with this and with "Leaping Obstacles."

Ahh, I like reading reviews on chapters like this one because it makes me excited about my story again! There are a LOT of secrets in this plotline, and in this first book especially. And of course, in the first book, Snape/Beth interactions as I'm sure a lot of people are hoping for aren't really there, but it's a very realistic pace. Especially in my experience, which might tell you more than you need to know!

Yes, there was an intended bit of awkwardness where Lily was involved -- mostly because I can't see a conversation with her after he called her a Mudblood being anything but, you know?
