Hello again!

I really liked this chapter, seeing the inner workings of Dennis's mind, his motivation to do right by the dead children and the way the war affected him. Even though nothing mysterious or deadly happened, I feel like this chapter was needed to set in stone some of the traits of your character.

What I was confused about was the origin of their mother's magic. Was she a witch, a Muggle or a Squib? That might've been good to clear.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

I am so happy you liked it an that you appreciated how the influence of the war has shaped Dennis's subsequent actions.

I am sorry for the confusion concerning Dennis's mother. I may need to redo some portions of it. The idea was to be that Dennis always thought that because of his mother's beauty and accomplishments she had to be magical when all the time it was really he and Colin.
