Hello. I reviewed the prologue a while ago, and kept meaning to come back and review more. So I thought starting my goal of reaching 1000 reviews with your story was perfect. :)

Anyway... This chapter was so sad, yet so sweet. I could just imagine Harry telling Ginny about everything their family is doing. But I was worried when Ginny never answered him, and by the time I got to the end, I knew. I thought I would cry when Harry did. You wrote it so beautifully.

I'm intrigued to know what happened, why Harry says he couldn't save her. I imagine he'd feel that way no matter how she died (natural or otherwise), but something tells me it wasn't natural. I won't know until I read...

One of my favorite things about this story already is thatits an older Harry, not just adult Harry with kids, as even they have children of their own. I don't see that often.

Author's Response: I'm a cad. Let me say that right up front because you've written these two lovely reviews and I've been so taken with the sight of them in my Unanswered Reviews that I haven't made the time to respond until now. But I'm here to remedy that.

This chapter was probably the most emotional thing I've yet written for HPFF. It's very sad in general, and it was even tougher to write because even at the start I knew how it was going to end. It sets up one of the major plot lines that runs throughout the story: Harry's inability to come to terms with his grief over Ginny's death.

Most of the answers you're looking for are revealed over the next two chapters, although some aren't revealed until the very end. You're definitely asking the right questions!

The idea of writing Harry and the others at this age really appealed to me because it is a time in their lives that's rarely touched upon in fan fiction. Also, it gave me the freedom to involve four generations of the family and consider how they all interact with one another.
