Hey dearie, so I know I haven't stopped by and reviewed anything of yours in a while (a few days can sometimes feel like ages), so I decided to come around and take a look at what you have. (Please don't think I dissapeared on you) And then I saw this, and I couldn't help but click because Romione is one of my favorite cannon ships.
So anywho. THIS WAS LOVELY!
I love how Ron's feelings for Hermione progresses throughout the story. I couldn't help but chuckle at the beginning, thinking, "oh Ron, you dope!" but as the story continued, he became really sweet, and protective. I find him an adorable, complex character and I was so peed off when I saw an interview of Rowling stating she was planning on killing him off. It made me so mad.
I also like how you differentiated Harry being Ron's best mate and Hermione being his best friend. You really did bring out that difference, and I do see where Hermione was able to bond with him where Harry wasn't. I honestly think that's the same with Harry's relationship with the two as well. Hermione is his best friend, where Ron's his best mate, because there's complex sides to Harry where Ron himself couldn't reach. It's funny, it seems like Hermione's their median; she's balances things out. You distinguished their relationships with each other wonderfully.
My favorite part to this was your scene depicting the Yule Ball. I love your insight of how Ron's jealous of Krum, yet he hasn't gotten the slightest clue that he fancies Hermione; he still views her as his best friend. (Well, maybe he does have a teensy clue, he's just not aware of it) It was really cute, and I couldn't help but think, "You dope, Ron! Ya' should've asked her!" but no. He blames his nerves -_-
And I love this line:
"He feels like he is home again and he suddenly understands the saying, Home is where the heart is.
His home is with Hermione because she is his special friend."
That was a really heartwarming line, and I really do think that's exactly how he felt in the book. His desperation to be back with her is finally sufficed, and to him it really doesn't matter what's going on, as long as he's with her, it's all going to be okay. (At least, that's how I see it).
So overall, this was a beautiful story, focusing on Ron's stages of feelings for Hermione. It's short, simple, light, and fluffy. Just a great story all around!
Author's Response: Hello there! Don't worry, I still love you! (In a non-creepy way of course)
Romione is one of my favourites as well, they're just so perfect for each other erhmagerd! ♥
AHHH THANK YOU! I'M GLAD YOU THOUGHT IT WAS LOVELY!
Ron is a bit of a dope, isn't he? :p He's a typical boy! Every time someone mentions Ron might have been killed off, my heart stops. I could never imagine Ron dead, I get so scared at the thought of it. I just want to wrap my arms around him and scream, "NOOO! YOU CAN'T TAKE HIM AWAY!"
I should be worried that I get this obsessive with fictional characters... but I'm not! :p
Hermione is the median between Ron and Harry, they wouldn't have been such a tightly-knit group if it wasn't for Hermione in my eyes. She's the one who talks about feelings and icky stuff like that! xD
The Yule Ball was actually my favourite bit to write, it was so funny writing Ron's mind because I know he likes her but he doesn't know that he likes her! Had lots of fun in that bit! :p
Aww, thank you! You saw it right, Ron knows when he is with Hermione he will be okay. He's an adorable boy, that Ronald! :D
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much for reviewing, I don't deserve all these lovely reviews! I haven't gotten to your second story yet! You're too fast for me! D:
AND BY THE WAY YOU'RE MY TWO HUNDREDTH REVIEW AS AN AUTHOR, THANK YOU SO MUCH! ♥ *chases trying to give you a hug.*
