Review:Ardeith says:
Wow! Dark chapter indeed! I love the opening with Charlie and how he was thinking about Hogwarts as home and how doing the manual labor was preferable. How could poor Trelawney keep up? Makes me think of death camps...

And poor silly Hermione, of course Bellatrix is not going to kill her easily. :-(

Oh and the floating body of Harry! So creepy and so demoralizing!

Glad to hear that things are going to get better...

Author's Response: Ah, yes! I think that, aside from the battle chapters (two and four), this is probably one of the darkest chapters in this story, and certainly one of the darkest thus far. I'm glad you liked Charlie in this, though -- he always seems to be a bit overlooked where the Weasleys are concerned, and it's almost solely for that reason I wanted to include him here. He'll crop up again a bit later in the story, too, so watch for him! :)

Bellatrix could never kill Hermione easily... villains never just do away with those they think are important. But luckily for us as writers and readers and general followers of archetypes, this often leads to their downfall, so don't lose hope!

Harry's body. :( That's a very powerful image in my head, and although it was a bit hard to write -- as many parts of this story are -- that is one of the things that, thus far, I have felt the most necessary, if that makes any sense. It's very important to me to sugarcoat things in this story as little as possible; the Death Eaters really are pretty horrible people, and it's important to see them that way.

And I've gone off on another tangent here with you! Someday I'll learn to focus, but for now I'm just incredible grateful for you and your reviews and your support. ♥ I hope to see you back soon, and thank you very, very much!!
