I'm still reading! :-) And I love your story more and more. I loved the beginning with Krum and Rose flirting and teasing. I like how, despite the imbalance of ...what? power?...given the difference in their ages, his fame, etc., Rose is able to tease him. This was very funny:

“And who says there have been others?”

You've so captured the magic yet worry of beginning relationships. Speaking as someone who is in that situation and a chronic over-analyzer (does "Thanks for an awesome evening" mean he had a good time or is just being polite?...)

And poor Rose, a new relationship is fragile and it must be terrible to have it seem tawdry to the outside world.

Just everything really well done in this chapter. :-)

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Ardeith. I'm so, so glad you liked the chapter. And you totally picked up on exactly what I was going for with the opening scene. For the most part, Krum has been in control of their interactions, but now Rose is just starting to get her feet under her in the relationship, to where she feels she can jab back at him.

And I'm so with you on the over-analyzing bits. Rose and I definitely have that trait in common. Those early days in a relationship can be like a minefield!
