Oh my!!! WOW! And that's for the other reviews! I so agree, so I won't repeat what they have already said.
I will say that I like that you have Oliver kinda giving up here. I know everyone wants everyone in stories to be strong all the time but not all are.
Oliver knows Quidditch! Thats where his strengths, enthusiasm and strategy abilities lie. Now.. what he needs to do is remember those strengths and use that to the situation at hand. Not to mention, that the smartest witch he knows is there. I bet he never give up on a game! He will do it... I know he will. -Just my thought. I also do not approve of his behavor, am disappointed in him but I understand.

I agree that Hermione would think that Ron got away but not think that he deserted her. Why would she think that? Ron was willing to sacrifice himself at the tender age of 11 for Harry. And from then on, tried to protect Hermione from numerous dangers. She already knows that Ron would give his life to get her back.. just as she would herself for him. She may want to kill him for risking his life for her but it's also her strength, the reason she'll fight to live in such a desperate and seemingly hopeless situation.
Hope you understood all that, I'm not great at explaining my thoughts..

Author's Response: I think it's very important to show people that aren't strong, just as much as it's important to show people that are -- you know? Because I know that, in the given situation, I wouldn't be nearly as strong as Hermione, or even Dean. Oliver's a bit of a pessimist here, but I think it's pretty realistic, too. Although you're totally right in that he should use some of his Quidditch skills to his advantage here! ;) I like the way you phrased that, and it actually sparked some small inspiration. Look at you!

I completely understood you. :3 For all his being placed in the role of the sort of comic relief of the Golden Trio, Ron is a very strong character, and very loyal to those close to him (and very opposed to those who aren't!). He's a man of extremes, either loving or hating, enjoying or loathing. And he loves Hermione, and hates those who took her; therefore, he'll stop at nothing to get her back.

Yes! I'm sorry for the long wait, but it's about the best I can manage, what with the every-Sunday updates on my other novel, and college and clubs and what have you besides. I do promise that I am finishing this story, no doubt about it -- it will all be up someday! Thank you so much for being such a dedicated reviewer on this, too.
