This is an impressive chapter.
The way you have written Peter's treachery is almost exactly how I imagined it to happen. The unbreakable vow though was something I never thought of but it does make sense. He can't back out of it now and that's what I always used to question about him? Why didn't he ever change his mind or tell someone what he had done in order to keep his friends.

Now all I'm left wondering is if Sev will tell Beth that he saw Peter. Time will tell I suppose.

Author's Response: Great to see you back again! :) I'm glad that you enjoyed this chapter, and that it seemed to match your own opinion of these events pretty well. And the Unbreakable Vow bit, too -- I wanted a way to cement Peter's decision and make it so it was plausible he stayed where he was. As a coward (which he undoubtedly is), he would fear death; the threat of it would probably keep him in line.
